Last week was so beautiful out we had no choice but to hit the park. It was a little crowded so we found a spot in the field and Sam took off running. His squeals of delight were soon followed by tumbles to the ground, no matter, he just pushed himself back up and kept going for more. Soon we had a game made of it, Sam running with his hands held high and me not far behind juggling a camera and sippy cup while trying to catch each fall. I realize that I may not be there for every tumble and I guess part of me doesn't want to be. I want to raise a strong independent person who lives with his hands stretched out taking each tumble with courage.

Braylon turns 3 (Dayton Ohio Wedding Photographer)
I have come to the conclusion that if I could mix some of 27 year old Charity with 3 year old Charity I would have it pretty good! I would keep my work ethic, all the lessons I have learned and how strong they made me as a person but I would bring back the power to forgive others myself included within seconds, the ability to make running in circles a game. I would bring back laughing constantly, having no fear of anything even when someone says "that's going to hurt", I would give my heart to without constraints. I would never let a smile leave my face. For now though, I will take the option of looking to kids like Braylon for inspiration: He knows the true secret to life. He is always on the go, constantly laughs so heartily that it makes him shake all over, shares his favorite toys, wants everyone to participate on his adventures and, when he lifts his hands to fly, I think it's possible that his feet might just leave the ground.
Thomas the train is Braylon's favorite adventure.
Thank you, York family, for allowing me to be apart of your day and see the inside of your world, a world where anything is possible.
