DAUGHTER OF MINE : MADE WITH LOVE

On February third in the middle of the night we were frightened and at the same time a little excited. Speeding toward the hospital with white knuckles and a clenched jaw Matt tries to ignore my crazy demands "run the red lights and drive faster!".
It seems hours later when we arrive and are soon met by Michelle our midwife who shares the news " you are going to have this baby now" realization sets in, I won't be getting my planned water birth and our doula, Lindsay will never make it on time. As I swallow down fear and shear pain I grab my husband's hand, look into his eyes and it hits me, together we can do anything. 15 minutes later we are in love and at the same time a little frightened as we stare down at our daughter.
Elena, the moment we laid eyes on you we realized our lives would never be the same. Our hearts more vulnerable, our nights will have less sleep, and we'll have more days walking around wearing spit up and cheerios in our hair than we would like to admit. To us, your parents, it doesn't get better than this.

Sam excited about his big brother title and ready to take care of his baby.

Matt wanted to take pictures with every camera in the house.

These hands will never be this little again.

Baby feet are my absolute favorite!

These are my favorite!

Elena you have our hearts forever!

MELISSA + KELLY : HEATHERWOOD GOLF COURSE

She seemed to flawlessly let go of everything that didn't matter and soak up anything that did. For Melissa, this meant helping her bridesmaids before getting ready herself and showing off the details her family had worked so hard on. The room filled with her laughter. There were no rules or formalities--just the encouragement to let the day unfold as naturally and beautifully as possible.

Melissa greeted everyone with a warm smile, twirled in her dress, and laughed with her father as she walked down the aisle. Her giddy energy seemed to rub off on friends and family. There were tears, held breaths, and clutched fists all around the room as she made her way to meet Kelly.

As Kelly waited for Melissa, he seemed so serene.  It was like he was where he was always meant to be at that very moment. When their eyes locked, you could tell what the center of Kelly's world was and it was walking straight towards him. They said "I do" and it was there and then they both seemed to be complete.

Melissa and Kelly, thank you, for everything! The moment we met I knew you had a special kind of love and it was an honor to document that love and to be a part of your special day. Hope you are having a wonderful honeymoon and loving the life you've started as one.
