MELISSA + KELLY : HEATHERWOOD GOLF COURSE

She seemed to flawlessly let go of everything that didn't matter and soak up anything that did. For Melissa, this meant helping her bridesmaids before getting ready herself and showing off the details her family had worked so hard on. The room filled with her laughter. There were no rules or formalities--just the encouragement to let the day unfold as naturally and beautifully as possible.

Melissa greeted everyone with a warm smile, twirled in her dress, and laughed with her father as she walked down the aisle. Her giddy energy seemed to rub off on friends and family. There were tears, held breaths, and clutched fists all around the room as she made her way to meet Kelly.

As Kelly waited for Melissa, he seemed so serene.  It was like he was where he was always meant to be at that very moment. When their eyes locked, you could tell what the center of Kelly's world was and it was walking straight towards him. They said "I do" and it was there and then they both seemed to be complete.

Melissa and Kelly, thank you, for everything! The moment we met I knew you had a special kind of love and it was an honor to document that love and to be a part of your special day. Hope you are having a wonderful honeymoon and loving the life you've started as one.

With love, Charity K

LINDSAY + STEVEN : COLLIER CHAPEL

Lindsay spent her morning preparing for her day. Surrounded by those who love her most she seemed nervous but totally together all at the same time. As everyone rushed around trying to tie up loose ends and help Lindsay into her beautiful gown there was a sanctioned sense of peace and togetherness over the group. A moment of silence follows when they step back to marvel at the bride who is amazingly beautiful inside and out. The group is suddenly embracing and laughing. She is ready for her day.

When Steven finally gets a glimpse of Lindsay he is waiting by the wooden altar that he hand crafted with Lindsay's father just days before. The sight of them under this structure made with love and devotion is almost too beautiful to describe.   Together under the altar they laughed, shared knowing looks, and promises, to take care of each other, to stand by each other. Forever.

Lindsay and Steven ... spending your wedding day with you makes me one lucky photographer.  You made me feel so welcome. The most charming part is that you seem to have that way with everyone. I am so honored to have documented the effects of your strength and love. Have a great time on your honeymoon. With love Charity K.

Glen Helen Wedding : John + Shelley

John and Shelley first met while working together in Nashville. "It was my first real 'video gig,' so I had a lot of questions for John, who just happened to be sitting across from me. He had a great sense of humor, and didn't mind answering even the most basic questions," Shelley explains.

From that moment they grew into the best of  friends, spending all their spare time together. It wasn't long before John decided friendship just wasn't enough. With a little courage he took a leap of faith "I really really like you." John admitted.  Floored, Shelley exclaimed, "I had no idea you felt that way!"

Their paths intersected during work and as life ushered them into a new arena on a perfect day in Glen Helen Yellow Springs , Shelley and John are assured their love and that they are meant to be. Forever.

John and Shelley, you both are such humble and inspiring people and I honestly look up to you in all that you do! Thank you so much for allowing us to document your love story. We were so honored to be a part of your special day!

I just love her smile in our first reveal!

Shelley found her hair piece at a local art dealer in Nashville and it suits her!

I just want to thank these ladies for putting up with my wild ideas and crazy cat calls!

We drove about 15 minutes down the road where Shelley found this beautiful sunflower patch! Matt took the image of the sunflower and it is one of my favorites!
Matt took these of the ceremony as well and I thought they turned out amazing!

These conversation pieces were a huge hit!

So I should probably admit now that photographing a wedding where the groom and a few of his groomsmen are photographers is pretty intimidating! Okay that may have been an understatement. But who says photographers can't look just as good infont of the camera, these guys rocked!

Shelley and John, you took my breath away!

A preview of the celebration!

Our favorites from the day!
